My interest revolves around the dichotomy of modern life. The balance between the dehumanization of a mechanical superficial world in constant activity and the need for self reflection, vulnerability and intimacy.
I feel, nowadays, exist a sense of detachment from what’s going on around us. In my view, as a product of the fragility of today’s world and the need to cope with it. This thought makes me reflect about the irrelevance of time, the inestability of our surroundings as well as our own weaknesses as human beings.
With that in mind, my work focuses on moods and emotions over the mere representation of material objects, actions or human intent. Ultimatilely aiming at the pure representation of an specific kind of energy, a timeless moment in a sea of hectic motion.
